Bastian Steuwer

I specialize in moral and political philosophy. My current research focuses on discrimination, equality, and distributive justice both in theory and in its application to health.

 

My academic work has been published, among others, in the Philosophical Quarterly, Utilitas, the Journal of Ethics & Social Philosophy, Economics & Philosophy, and the New England Journal of Medicine. I have also written public philosophy on political, social and legal issues in India. 

Earlier, I was a postdoctoral associate at the Center for Population-Level Bioethics at Rutgers University. I  completed my PhD in Philosophy from the London School of Economics (LSE) and holds master’s degrees in philosophy and law from the LSE and University College London respectively.
